In Clarksburg State Park near North Adams, Massachusetts is a 45-acre, shallow, man-made body
of water called Mausert's Pond. It was originally a meadow used for horseracing by the early
settlers. Clarkburg State Park offers excellent camping facilities, and the Shoreline Trail
offers many views of the pond. The reflection of the clouds completes the panoramic. And no,
I don't know who Mausert was.
