140601_006 - Sterling Pond


In the southeast corner of the State, off Rt. 14, is a man-made dam system with the result being Sterling Pond. Without the dam, there would just be a small stream meandering through that section of the State. When we were there, there was evidence of beaver activity. So the damming process in this stream is both natural and man-nade.

The image was captured with a Nikon D800, 24-70 f/2.8, ISO 100, Gitzo tripod.
