D00017 - Chatham Light
At the tip of Cape Cod, known locally as the elbow, sits Chatham Light. Built in 1877
of cast iron with a brick lining, the lighthouse stands at 48 feet, orignally with a
Fourth-order Fresnel lens but replaced with a 2.8 million candlepower rotating light.
While not open to the public, special tours can be arranged.
The image was shot with a Nikon F5 and 85mm f/2.8 TS, Velvia 100, Bogen tripod.
